Terms and Conditions

PAYMENT:​​

All major credit cards accepted (process fee charge of 4.5% excludes cash or check payments). As a convenience, checks, money orders, traveler's checks are accepted for payment. If you choose to purchase travel insurance, you must make that purchase through your travel agent.

LATE RESERVATIONS AND CHANGES:

We welcome late bookings, however, they do require special services. Full payment is required for late bookings before reservations can be confirmed.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

There will be a full refund made on any reservations canceled 61 days or more prior to the arrival date. Cancellations made 60-31 days prior to the arrival date will receive a refund less the amount of deposit. No refunds will be issued on cancellations made 30 days or less prior to arrival date.

REFUNDS: 

No refunds will be made on unused accommodations when voluntarily canceled or omitted by the guest, or for missed package feature due to airline or other third-party transportation providers' delays, or for other acts beyond our control. Claims and adjustments for services not rendered, as intended by High Lake Lodge, Inc. must be applied for in writing within 60 days from the end of your stay. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

INDEPENDENT TRAVEL:

All arrangements confirmed on your reservation and invoice is made for you on an individual, non-escorted basis.
Prices do not include:

  • Airfare from your home city and return.

  • Airfare to and from High Lake Lodge.

  • Alaska fishing or hunting license.

  • Personal provisions and gear.

  • Gratuities to service personnel. These are at your sole discretion.

EXTRA COST PROVISIONS:

If, as a result of inclement weather or other conditions beyond our control, you are prevented or delayed from your arrival at or departure from High Lake Lodge and must book additional lodge, hotel or transportation arrangements, the additional costs are solely your responsibility. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Reservations outlined herein will be carried out under the business management of High Lake Lodge, Incorporated, P.O. Box 1092, Palmer, Alaska 99645. The management acts as an agent for various principals and is in no way to be considered as the principal or operator of other services for which High Lake Lodge, Inc. acts as agent. The right is reserved by High Lake Lodge, Inc. to cancel or alter any excursion, as current conditions require. High lake Lodge, Inc. will not be responsible for any expense due to delays, weather conditions, or cancellation of transportation, or any increase in taxes, after brochure publication. High Lake Lodge, Inc. is not responsible for personal injury, illness or death resulting from any peril of water or wildlife or cause not with High Lake Lodge, Inc's sole and direct control, or not resulting from the sole and direct negligence of High Lake Lodge, Inc. High Lake Lodge, Inc. is not responsible for injury, illness or death occurring while on a High Lake Lodge, Inc. excursion. Certain other limitations on liability apply. Written notice of claims against High Lake Lodge, Inc. for injuries or death must be given within six months of the day injury or death occurs, and suits must be commenced within one year from the day injury or death occurred. Suits must be filed in federal and/or state courts in Palmer, State of Alaska. High Lake Lodge Inc. may change excursions for just cause and will not be responsible for any loss or expense caused by reason of such change. Each guest is responsible for arriving as indicated on your reservation. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who, in our sole opinion, may affect the health, safety or enjoyment of other guests and compromise the integrity of the land.

High Lake Lodge is located in true wilderness and it is strongly recommended that individuals educate themselves in regard to potential encounters with wildlife.

HEALTH & DISABILITY REQUIREMENT:

Guests must notify us in writing at the time of booking of any special accommodations needed as a result of a disability or medical condition, to include diet. Also, we should be notified at the time of booking of any other condition that may render the guest unfit for travel or constitute risk or danger to the guest or anyone else so that we can determine whether travel is appropriate. In certain cases is may be advisable to request guidance from a medical expert. Guests requiring a wheelchair must provide their own collapsible wheelchair. Due to the limitations of medical facilities, guests with serious medical conditions or women with pregnancy complications or in their third trimester of pregnancy may wish to consult their physician to determine if travel is appropriate. Guests should also review their insurance policies to determine if treatment occurring while traveling is covered.

High Lake Lodge, Inc. strongly recommends you purchase travel insurance, either through your travel agent or personal representative, so you can plan and enjoy your travel with complete peace of mind.
